Wychwood Careers Fair 2021

Posted: 21st September 2021

The Wychwood Careers Fair is one of many careers events at Wychwood to help inspire the pupils and give them the tools and the knowledge to help them make informed choices about their future career options. This year’s fair took place on the Saturday 18th September and was well attended by pupils, parents, Wychwood staff and members of the Wychwood Association. Representatives from the Army and Oxford Media and Business School also attended. The last careers fair was two years ago, so it was very exciting to hold another event like this again and see the hall busy with activity!

The morning was a wonderful opportunity for the current Wychwood pupils to ask questions from ‘What do you do?’ to ‘How did you get there?’ and ‘Why do you enjoy your job?’ In addition, it was a chance to also develop their communication and interpersonal skills. Many careers were represented: the Army, art and design, accountancy, engineering, law, marketing, scientific research, sustainability, photography and performing arts. Two of the guests, Rachel Page, former Wychwood pupil, and Su Chantry, Williams F1, gave talks about accountancy and occupational health and wellbeing.
