Upper Transits and Shell Visit Mosque and St Paul’s Cathedral

The Upper Transits and Shell girls had the privilege of being present in the great prayer hall for midday prayers during their recent visit to London Central Mosque. It was a time of sublime peace and many admitted they had not sat in such stillness and silence for a very long time. It was an overwhelmingly positive experience. Then at St Paul’s Cathedral everyone was delighted to be shown the ‘Divination staircase’ which had featured in the the Harry Potter movies. This was followed by an exploration of the cathedral including the stunning video installations of Mary and Martyrs by Bill Viola and a climb up the dome to see the London skyline.
