University and Futures Fair 2019
Posted: 19th September 2019
The Wychwood University and Futures Fair is one of many careers events held at Wychwood to help inspire the pupils and give them the tools and knowledge to help them make informed choices about their future career options. This year’s fair took place on Saturday 14th September and was well attended by pupils, parents, governors, staff and members of the Wychwood Association. Representatives from New College of the Humanities and The Army also attended.
The morning was a wonderful opportunity for our current pupils to talk to members of the Wychwood Association and ask questions from ‘Where did you go to university?’ to ‘Did you have a gap year?’ and ‘Are you doing a job now that uses your degree?’ In addition, it was a chance for pupils to develop their communication and interpersonal skills. Members of the Wychwood Association who attended represented many universities from around the UK, including University of Birmingham, University of Cambridge, University of Manchester, University of West England and Royal College of Art. Ruby Naybour and Emily Marshall, who both attended Wychwood, gave talks and shared insights about their career journey, taking a gap year and life after school.
A huge thank you to all who attended.
