Theatre trip to Othello

The Study English Literature group were among the audience on Wednesday evening enjoying the English Touring Theatre’s dynamic production of  Othello at the Oxford Playhouse. Everything about the performance was modern and the director, Richard Twyman, ensured that we were entranced throughout. Victor Oshin, making his stage debut as Othello, brought an engaging youth and energy to the role which was well matched by Kitty Archer as a lively but desperately naïve Desdemona. The evening proved to be the perfect introduction to a play which will be studied in class in detail.
