The Martian Rover
Posted: 25th April 2017
The Martian Rover sampling the surface of Mars at Wychwood. We built our own Martian Rover and programmed it to move over our (also home- built) Martian surface and take samples for analysis. Programming and chemistry together!
“EV3 lego mindstorms and two microbits combined to produce a rover sampling the martian surface at Wychwood. The handheld microbit picks up the movement of the hand using an accelerator and then communicates the information to the microbit on the rover. Classical Chemistry then takes over as the sample is analysed using flame tests and wet chemistry”
