Science Fair 2022
Posted: 19th May 2022
Last week Wychwood hosted its first Science Fair – a celebration of investigative science where all students from Remove to Lower Transits were invited to participate. They came up with a question and then set about researching, planning, obtaining data, analysing, concluding and evaluating. A whole range of subjects were studied from how particle size affects the amount of reflected light in highlighters, to whether snails can learn. Scientists from the University of Oxford Department of Plant Sciences and Department of Earth Sciences visited the fair to ask the students about their projects. The students excelled themselves on the day being able to talk with clarity and knowledge about their work and engage visitors to their stands with interest.
Congratulations to Nia, Yiyi, Sorrel, Beatrice, Khaty, Esther and Martha who received prizes for their work.
