RS Trip to Oxford Mathematical Institute
Posted: 11th December 2018
On Monday 10th December, members of Wychwood Study attended the annual Philosophy, Ethics and Theology conference in Oxford along with students from across the region. Lectures covered the nature of conscience, the moral status of animals and freewill and determinism. Notable lectures were delivered by Professor Alistair McGrath on the ‘Dawkins delusion’, issues in science and religion and feminist theologian Daphne Hampson, on the patriarchal nature of Christianity. Mrs Crossley particularly enjoyed this since her undergraduate dissertation had been on Feminist theology!
