National Memorial Arboretum

Posted: 4th December 2018

After Wychwood Remembers, such a powerful and moving evening, the school went to the National Memorial Arboretum, a living landscape featuring over 30,000 maturing trees and a wide variety of flora and fauna to reflect on the work done in school over the last four years to commemorate the War to end all Wars.   A place of essential and fundamental calm and beauty, the NA brings home to the modern generations who have never experienced the tragedy of a full-scale conflict, the huge range of organisations that a human being could belong to in times of war and, as such, is a humbling and though-provoking place to walk through and appreciate.
