Maths Bake Off

This week Remove competed in Wychwood School’s first ever ‘Great Maths Bake Off’ contest, judged by Mrs Cooper and Mrs Johnson. The entries were all incredible! The brief – bake something with a mathematical theme. We had shortbread biscuit calculations, an apple ‘pi’, Victoria sponge arithmetic symbols, an infinity shaped loaf of bread, complete with jam and butter, and a dairy and gluten free lemon drizzle graph cake made by Miss Stone. Mrs Cooper and Mrs Johnson sampled all of the entries before awarding ‘Star Baker’ to Pratiba; her sponge cakes were fantastic! The other entries came a joint, and very close, second. A huge congratulations to all of the bakers, who should all be really proud of themselves.
