Remove trip to the Hindu Temple
Posted: 23rd November 2017
On Friday the Remove visited a beautiful Hindu Mandir as part of their Religious Studies course.
BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir is a Hindu temple in Neasden, London. Built entirely using traditional methods and materials, the Swaminarayan Mandir has been described as being Britain’s first authentic Hindu temple.
The girls observed the puja ceremony in the temple and watched a film about the building of the mandir. They were also able to ask questions from a member of the Hindu community and visited an ‘Introduction to Hinduism’ exhibition. It was a very interesting day and many of the girls also enjoyed eating some of the delicious ice creams on sale!
