Acorns trip to Natural History Museum

Posted: 17th September 2018

A trip to the Natural History Museum (Oxford) was enjoyed today by a small group of Acorns. We had a good look round the Settlers’ Exhibition which focuses on the results of a DNA-based study of migration to the British Isles since earliest times. This was followed by an archaeological presentation on what isotope evidence from skeletons tells us about health and migration patterns in the Middle Ages. The Acorns were the only under-18s to attend the lecture and be shown some genuine medieval bones!
